Bodney (Men's Basketball) was the male recipient of the James R. Harley Award that was presented at the annual athletics banquet on Friday evening...the Harley Aaward is presented to the male and female senior student-athlete that has demonstrated leadership and excellence in the classroom, on the field of competition and in the community...This is the highest award an Eckerd College student-athlete can receive.

Earlier in the evening's festivities, Bodney was named both the team MVP and Triton Award winner for his team during the 2013-14 season...As a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter, he was the team captain for his final two seasons and his leadership helped guide the program to two NCAA Championship South Regional bids...Bodney closed his career as the program's 14th-leading scorer all-time with 1,108 points and addtionally is fourth in free throw percentage (83%), third in free throws made (403) and sixth in attempted free throws (484)...He was also top 20 in three point percentage, assists and steals.

Off the court, Bodney was the senior Eckerd College Student-Athlete of the Year (highest GPA of any senior male student-athlete) while majoring in Business Administration...He was selected to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District First Team and will be starting his professional career with the PGA in the near future.
