Just like the men's balloting, there was an even split down the middle for the women's voting as softball's Kristen Schurr and women's basketball's Krystal Charles shared the James R. Harley Award presented at the end-of-the-year athletics banquet.

As a four-year senior, Schurr was an anchor as a corner infielder for the Tritons, establishing herself with the fourth most home runs in her career with 10...Played in a total of 209 games, ranking sixth all-time...Ripped a total of three game-winning hits this season, including a two-run blast against Webber International University...Two-time selection to the SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll and was a three-year residence advisor on the EC campus.

Charles was a First-Team All-SSC selection in her final season on the court, leading the team in scoring, rebounding, blocks, assists and steals...She was also a selection to the SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll and served as a member of the EC Student-Athlete Advisory Commitee...As a team captain, she inspired many by coming back from a season-ending injury suffered during her sophomore campaign...Ended her career ranking 14th all-time in scoring (870 points), eighth in rebounding (545) and fifth in blocks (101).
