Laton was strong in defeat against a pair of nationally-acclaimed opponents, attacking No. RV Rollins College and No. 2 University of Tampa, with precision. She tied the team's season single-match high kill total against the Tars of Rollins with 18 and followed that up with 11 kills.

Even more impressive was her attacking percentage against the vaunted front lines of Rollins (.412) and Tampa (.526). She also averaged one block per set in the last week from her middle blocker position.
