Maxine Hayes joins Eckerd as an assistant coach in 2025. She enters her second season with the program for the 2026 season.

Hayes spent the 2022 season as a graduate assistant coaching at her alma mater, the University of New Orleans, where she played both indoor and beach volleyball. 
 
Maxine made an impact both on the indoor and beach courts for the Privateers. She finished her final beach season by posting 17 wins, which put her career total at 42. That total is good for fifth in program history. In 2022, Hayes received second-team All-Southland honors on flight two.
