Prior to Eckerd: Wrapped up a decorated career at Waverly-Shell Rock High School in Waverly, Iowa, by earning her third straight all-conference team selection in 2016...Was also a second-team all-state honoree in 2015...Battled back from an injury in her senior season to hit .352 with 18 RBIs.

Personal: Daughter of Brent and Kari Matthias...Enjoys listening to music, watching sports, and enjoying the warm weather in Florida...Favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.
