Eckerd College Athletics Hall of Fame

Politelli played baseball for Eckerd from 1973-1976.
He became the third freshman to lead Division II baseball in doubles.
He batted .361 for his career. Politelli also had a .505 on base percentage in 1976.
After his career at Eckerd, in the 1972 amateur draft, the Milwaukee Brewers chose him in the 18th round as a 3B.
Politelli spent two years playing professional baseball in Italy.
Currently, Politelli is a History teacher at Toll Gate High School in Warwick, Rhode Island. His son, Daniel Politelli played baseball for Rhode Island University.
