  • Sherry Howell is a native of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles and is fluent in six languages.
  • Howell made her way to St. Petersburg, FL and where she excelled on both the volleyball and softball team.
  • In 1990, she was selected to play on the Volleyball All Conference second team.
  • For softball, Howell leads the NCAA, Division II career batting average at .524, is third in career slugging average at .921, 13th in home runs with 29 and second in single season highest batting average at .629.
  • Howell won Player of the Year honors twice in her conference and in her final year was chosen as the SSC Female Athlete Of The Year for the 1992-1993 season.
  • She graduated in 1993, with a double major in Business Management and Psychology.
  • After graduating, Howell had the honor of representing her country in the World Games in Japan in 1999.
  • Sherry was also inducted into the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame in 1999.
