  • Niedermayer, originally from Germany, made his way to Florida to continue his education and tennis career at Eckerd College.
  • He was an ITA All-American and Second Team All-SSC in 2004-05 with a 10-7 overall record.
  • In 2005-06 Niedermayer was picked as the SSC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
  • In his time at Eckerd he ranked as high as No. 16 in the country in singles.
  • Niedermayer was a recipient of the James R. Harley Award/EC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
  • He was an active volunteer at the St. Petersburg Tennis Center, First Serve Foundation and Courier's Kids.
  • He was also a Robert A. James Memorial Scholar.
  • Niedermayer graduated from Eckerd with Honors in 2006 with a degree in Economics and a double minor in Finance and Spanish.
  • Niedermayer received his MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.
  • In 2010 Sebastian returned to Germany where he currently works as the Global Head Sales Trading at Baader Helvea.
