  • As part of a four-year dynasty for the Eckerd College women's soccer program, Monica Wilson was a terror on the field as a midfielder after being converted as a defender in her prep career at Franklin High School.
  • From 1999 to 2002, the skilled offensive player from El Paso, Texas, combined 30 goals, 18 assists and 78 points in her career, ranking third, fourth and second-best all-time among all players in school history.
  • She appeared in 65 games and capped her career as an NSCAA First Team All-South Region Scholar-Athlete as EC racked up 36 wins as a team in that span.
  • Her skills also translated into multiple selections as the SSC Offensive Player of the Week.
  • Wilson was a three-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection and earned SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll status in all four years eligible.
  • In 2002, Wilson was voted the Most Valuable Player of the Tritons and was a three-year team captain.
  • EC carved out runner-up honors in the SSC regular-season standings with a 10-5 record in 2001 and the Tritons posted a pair of fourth-place efforts and a third-place finish during her tenure on the field.
  • In a decorated senior campaign, Wilson torched the University of Tampa for a hat trick and then some, scoring four goals in a single game, while scoring two more goals, including a game winner in double overtime against Rollins College with just 40 seconds to spare.
  • Wilson graduated from Eckerd with a double major in Computer Science and Marine Science with a concentration in Marine Geology.
  • She later worked to get her Masters and PhD in Marine Sciences from USF in 2013.
  • Wilson is currently the Florida Sea Grant Oil Spill Research Extension Specialist.
  • She is the wife of current Eckerd men's basketball assistant Coach Kendrick Wilson and the mother of three children, K.J., Kaleb and Gabby.
