Matt Duffy led Eckerd as a defender from 2009-12. He was the first player in men's soccer history to be named an All-American, receiving D2CCA Third Team accolades in 2012 after leading the team to the SSC Tournament Championship game. He is also the only men's soccer player to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American team, garnering first-team laurels in 2012.
In 2012, he was named the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He was tabbed to the All-SSC First Team in 2011 and 2012 and the second team in 2010. He received three all-region honors, including D2CCA/Daktronics First Team All-Region in 2011 and 2012 and NSCA All-Region in 2012.
He was also selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team and SSC All-Tournament team in 2012.
Over his career, he played in 66 games, scoring 10 goals with nine assists.
In 2013, he received the prestigious James R. Harley Award Winner and was tabbed the Eckerd Senior Scholar-Athlete.
