  • Norris continued the lineage of Eckerd baseball alums who paved their road into the ranks of the minor leagues at the professional level as a 25th-round selection by the Boston Red Sox in the 1990 MLB June Amateur Draft.
  • During his three-year career with the Tritons from 1988-1990, Norris ranks towards the top of the program's record books in a number of career statistical categories that still withstand the test of time.
  • With Eckerd, he contributed to three consecutive NCAA Championship South Regional appearances in 1988, 1989 and 1990.
  • He graduated from Eckerd in 1992 with his Bachelors of Arts in Human Development
  • Norris holds the school's single-season runs record with 64 and career-wise is additionally ranked seventh in RBI (134), tied for fourth in triples (12), sixth in extra-base hits (67), fifth in doubles (40), 11th in slugging percentage (.567), 12th in on-base percentage (.441), and 10th in in hits (193).
  • In five minor league seasons, Norris appeared in over 450 games from different levels as he worked his way up the ladder to AA New Britain. During his second year as a professional, he hit 10 home runs and had 60 RBI for Class A advanced Lynchburg.
  • Norris started in the Gulf Coast League and was eventually promoted to the Florida State League, Carolina League and Eastern League.
